Becky Lynch Enters Free Agency: Big Offers Expected

As of midnight on June 1, 2024, Becky Lynch, known as “The Man,” has officially entered free agency.

This marks the end of her latest three-year contract with WWE, which she signed in 2021.

Lynch, a former WWE Women’s World Champion, is now free to explore new opportunities for the first time in 11 years.

WWE’s Strategic Moves Leading Up to Free Agency

WWE seemed to anticipate Lynch’s departure well in advance. She lost the women’s world title to Liv Morgan at WWE King and Queen of the Ring 2024 and subsequently failed to reclaim it in a rematch on WWE Raw.

Despite knowing Lynch might take time off, WWE had her win the title to enhance the storyline.

No Last-Minute Agreement with WWE

Despite WWE’s efforts, no last-minute deal was reached with Lynch. However, the company remains open to working with her in the future.

Lynch has been praised as a “class act” during negotiations and has clearly communicated her intention to take a break.

Future Prospects and Potential Offers

Industry insiders believe Lynch is poised to receive significant offers, possibly the largest for any woman in pro wrestling history.

While WWE insiders and those close to Lynch do not expect her to join another promotion, the free agency market will undoubtedly present lucrative opportunities for the star.
