WWE Raw Star to Undergo Ankle Surgery After Injury at Survivor Series

Bronson Reed has announced the date of his upcoming ankle surgery, which is scheduled for December 11, 2024, following an injury sustained at Survivor Series: WarGames. This surgery could sideline the RAW powerhouse indefinitely, potentially causing him to miss WrestleMania 41.

The Injury During Survivor Series WarGames

Reed suffered the ankle injury while delivering his signature Tsunami Splash from the top of the cage during the WarGames match at Survivor Series. As part of Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline faction, Reed participated in the brutal showdown against Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline, including CM Punk. Unfortunately, the high-risk move resulted in an awkward landing, leading to a significant ankle injury.

The injury was confirmed on the December 6 episode of SmackDown, where it was announced that Reed would require surgery and be out of action for an extended period.

Reed Announces Surgery Date

Taking to social media, Reed informed fans that his surgery is set for December 11. He posted a simple but impactful message, “Surgery Tomorrow,” signaling the start of a long recovery process. This announcement comes as a blow to Reed’s momentum, as he had been one of RAW’s most dominant superstars in recent months.

Impact on WWE and WrestleMania 41

Reed’s injury could mean he will miss WrestleMania 41, marking the second consecutive year he has been absent from WWE’s biggest event. This news is disappointing for both Reed and his fans, as his push on RAW had positioned him for potential title opportunities and marquee storylines.

Future and Recovery Timeline

While the timeline for his return remains uncertain, Reed’s determination and work ethic suggest he will do everything possible to recover quickly. WWE fans hope to see the powerhouse return to the ring stronger than ever, possibly with a new direction or storyline waiting for him.
