Cathy Kelley Joins Mensa: WWE Star Reveals Genius-Level Status

WWE personality Cathy Kelley has revealed that she is a member of Mensa, the prestigious high-IQ society known for its rigorous entry requirements. Kelley shared details about her decision to take the Mensa test during an appearance on the B4TheBell podcast, shedding light on a little-known facet of her life.

Why Cathy Kelley Took the Mensa Test

Kelley explained that the motivation to take the Mensa test stemmed from her early days as a podcast host covering wrestling. Criticism from fans, including harsh personal attacks, pushed her to prove herself.

“I was talking about wrestling as a very new fan. I got a lot of hate and people calling me a ‘dumb C-word.’ I wanted to prove that I’m only half of that. So, I took the test.”

She initially prepared by taking online IQ tests before attending the official Mensa testing event near Orange County. Despite some nerves, Kelley passed the test and received her acceptance letter weeks later.

Why She Kept It Private at First

Although Kelley was proud of her achievement, she hesitated to share the news publicly for fear of appearing pretentious.

“I didn’t talk about it for a long time because I thought it was kind of pretentious. I just wanted to do it to prove to myself.”

It wasn’t until WWE executive Stephanie McMahon encouraged her to embrace her accomplishment that Kelley began to discuss it more openly. McMahon emphasized the importance of celebrating such a unique achievement.

Cathy Kelley’s Continued Success in WWE

Kelley’s Mensa membership adds to her impressive credentials as a backstage interviewer and on-air personality in WWE. Her intelligence and charm have made her a fan favorite, and this revelation further highlights her multifaceted personality.

As Kelley continues her work in WWE, her Mensa membership serves as a testament to her resilience and determination to succeed in all aspects of her life.
