CM Punk Joins SyFy’s Revival Horror Series in Mystery Role

WWE Superstar CM Punk is set to showcase his acting skills once again, joining the cast of SyFy’s upcoming horror series, Revival. The show, based on the critically acclaimed Image Comics series, takes place in rural Wisconsin during an eerie event where the dead mysteriously rise from their graves—not as traditional zombies but with fully intact consciousness.

Punk’s role in Revival has yet to be disclosed, adding to the intrigue surrounding the series, which is expected to premiere in late 2025.

CM Punk’s Acting Career Expands

This isn’t CM Punk’s first foray into the world of acting. He previously starred as Ricky Rabies in the Starz wrestling drama Heels and appeared in the horror film The Girl on the Third Floor. His growing acting portfolio has earned praise from fans and critics alike, establishing him as a versatile performer beyond the wrestling ring.

Revival: A New Take on the Living Dead

In Revival, the story follows Dana Cypress (played by Melanie Scrofano), a local officer and single mother. Cypress becomes embroiled in a murder investigation as tensions rise between the living and the resurrected. The cast also includes Steven Ogg (The Walking Dead), Romy Weltman, and David James Elliott.

Fans are eager to learn more about Punk’s character and how he fits into the chilling premise of the show.

CM Punk’s WWE Status

Currently taking a break from WWE following his Hell in a Cell victory over Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024, Punk remains a significant figure in wrestling. While his acting commitments highlight his versatility, fans continue to speculate about his future storylines in WWE.

SyFy’s Push for Unique Horror Content

Revival marks SyFy’s latest effort to create compelling adaptations of unique comic properties, and CM Punk’s inclusion adds star power to the already impressive cast.

Stay tuned for updates on Revival, as CM Punk’s mystery role and the series’ premiere draw closer.
