WCW Legend Considers Wrestling Comeback After WWE NXT Appearance

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff is entertaining the idea of returning to wrestling after making a surprise appearance on WWE NXT on December 3, 2024.

Eric Bischoff’s WWE NXT Appearance

Eric Bischoff’s recent appearance on WWE NXT ignited speculation about his future involvement in wrestling. Known for his creative mind and on-screen charisma, Bischoff was a key figure in the Monday Night Wars and served as a pivotal authority figure in both WCW and WWE.

During his NXT appearance, Bischoff’s presence was well-received by fans and talent alike. This brief return to WWE television has led to questions about whether Bischoff is considering a more permanent role behind the scenes.

Bischoff Misses Working with Talent

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bischoff opened up about what he truly misses in the wrestling industry. He expressed a deep passion for working with younger talent, helping them improve their promos and in-ring confidence. “I loved the process of taking someone who was struggling and teaching them how to get comfortable,” he said.

Bischoff also mentioned that the creative collaboration aspect of wrestling still appeals to him. He reminisced about brainstorming sessions where ideas would build organically, creating compelling storylines and characters.

Challenges of a Full-Time Role

Despite his interest in working with talent, Bischoff acknowledged the challenges of committing to a full-time role. He mentioned his current lifestyle and aversion to constant travel as reasons why a return might be difficult. “I love where I live, and I’m not a big fan of traveling,” Bischoff explained. However, he didn’t completely close the door on the possibility, stating that a collaborative role with the right balance could still entice him.

Will Bischoff Make a Comeback?

While nothing is confirmed, Bischoff’s willingness to entertain the idea of returning to wrestling has excited fans. His experience and expertise could be a valuable asset to WWE or other promotions, especially in mentoring new talent.
