WWE Raw Star Suffers Permanent Nerve Damage Following Neck Injury

WWE superstar Ivar has revealed that he is dealing with permanent nerve damage following a serious neck injury, but his resilience continues to inspire fans.

The Extent of Ivar’s Neck Injury

Ivar, one-half of the War Raiders tag team, has faced a tough journey since sustaining a significant neck injury earlier this year. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Ivar shared details about his ongoing struggles. While his neck mobility has mostly returned, he admitted to dealing with persistent nerve pain. Despite undergoing rehabilitation and relying on yoga to regain movement, Ivar confirmed that the nerve damage is permanent.

He explained, “I’ve got most of my mobility back to my neck. It’s a little stiff now because I have another herniation, but I still have very good range of motion. I credit that to yoga. All my strength has returned to my arm, but the nerve pain from the injury is permanent.”

Challenges with Nerve Pain

Ivar elaborated on his daily battle with nerve pain, stating that it fluctuates in severity. Some days, he feels intense pain radiating down his arm, while on other days, he experiences no discomfort at all. This unpredictable condition adds an extra challenge to his in-ring performance, but Ivar remains determined to continue his wrestling career.

Triumphant Return and Tag Team Success

Despite his injury struggles, Ivar and his tag team partner Erik achieved a significant milestone on the December 16, 2024, episode of Monday Night RAW. The War Raiders captured the World Tag Team Championships with the help of Damian Priest, ending the 188-day reign of Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

This victory highlights Ivar’s dedication and resilience, proving that he can still compete at a high level despite his physical challenges.

The Road Ahead for Ivar

As the new champions, Ivar and Erik will face tough competition in the weeks to come. WWE fans are eager to see how the War Raiders will be booked in 2025 and whether Ivar can continue to defy the odds. His journey serves as a powerful reminder of the perseverance required to succeed in professional wrestling.
