WWE Legend CONFIRMS No Plans to Wrestle John Cena

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has set the record straight about any possibility of wrestling John Cena during Cena’s ongoing retirement tour, revealing that he has no plans to return to in-ring action. Despite fan enthusiasm for a showdown between the two legends, Angle recently disclosed on The Takedown podcast that his physical health prevents him from wrestling again. Angle’s comments have clarified that his days as an active competitor are firmly behind him.

Kurt Angle’s Physical Limitations Rule Out a Return Match

Addressing fan questions about a potential match with Cena, Angle explained that his extensive history of injuries makes a comeback unfeasible. “A lot of people ask if I’m gonna wrestle Cena for his retirement tour. No, no… I had five neck surgeries, a back surgery, and knee replacements. I am in no condition to get back in the ring,” Angle stated. The former Olympic gold medalist expressed his gratitude for WWE’s support of his career but admitted that any return to the ring would come with significant health risks.

While Angle occasionally appears on WWE programming, he confirmed that his role remains non-physical, and his focus now is on promoting his career achievements and supporting younger talent.
