Kurt Angle Was Unhappy with Massive TNA Wrestling Storyline

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently shared his dissatisfaction with the execution of the Main Event Mafia storyline during his time in TNA Wrestling. Meanwhile, WWE broadcaster Cathy Kelley announced her involvement in exciting projects outside her WWE commitments.

Kurt Angle Reflects on Main Event Mafia

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Kurt Angle expressed regret over the limited success and longevity of the Main Event Mafia faction.

“I wasn’t happy with the way it played out. I think we could have had a much longer reign,” Angle said, referencing the faction’s tenure of just under a year.

Angle, who served as the “godfather” of the group, emphasized the potential of the faction, which included legends like Sting, Kevin Nash, and Booker T.

“Having all those legends together was really special, but it felt like a missed opportunity.”

The Main Event Mafia storyline aimed to dominate TNA with established stars, but Angle believes its potential wasn’t fully realized.
