WWE Programme Set to End After Latest Taping

WWE’s NXT Level Up will officially conclude with its final taping on December 19, 2024, bringing an end to the developmental show that showcased future WWE stars.

After months of speculation, WWE has confirmed that NXT Level Up will air its final episode on December 19, 2024. The news was first reported by Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan, who revealed the final taping is taking place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

NXT Level Up served as a platform for WWE’s developmental talent, offering rising stars the chance to perform in front of a live audience and hone their skills for the main NXT brand. The show, which replaced 205 Live in 2022, quickly became a proving ground for many future WWE superstars.

A Platform for Rising Stars

NXT Level Up provided valuable screen time for up-and-coming wrestlers, giving fans a glimpse of WWE’s next generation. Many stars, such as Carmelo Hayes, Tiffany Stratton, and Je’Von Evans, built their momentum on Level Up before moving on to more significant roles in NXT and the main roster.

While the show never achieved high ratings, its role in WWE’s developmental system was crucial. It allowed less experienced wrestlers to perform weekly, develop their personas, and gain exposure to WWE’s audience.

WWE LFG to Replace NXT Level Up

With the end of NXT Level Up, WWE is set to introduce a new reality competition show, WWE LFG. Described as a modern version of Tough Enough, WWE LFG will give aspiring wrestlers the opportunity to compete for a contract and showcase their potential. This new venture aims to bring fresh energy and excitement to WWE’s developmental programming.

Farewell to a Developmental Era

The conclusion of NXT Level Up marks the end of an era for WWE’s developmental system. While some fans are disappointed, the introduction of WWE LFG signals WWE’s commitment to evolving its programming and discovering new talent.

As WWE closes this chapter, fans will be watching closely to see how the company develops its future stars moving forward.
